Mattress recycling project
The refurbished mattresses from our Mattress Recycling Company go into the Mattress Recycling Project. This initiative is another part of our business that is committed to helping underserved and disadvantaged communities, made possible through mattresses that are collected via our mattress disposal and recycling process.
Regardless of one’s circumstances, access to restful sleep is a basic human necessity that supports physical, mental, and emotional flourishing. The Mattress Recycling Project makes refurbished mattress accessible to those with marginalized backgrounds or people from challenged backgrounds.
Our refurbished mattresses go through a comprehensive rejuvenation process and are then made available to people in remote indigenous towns, transitional workers and those who are displaced, such as new immigrants, those who are homeless and victims of domestic violence.
Our emphasis on rural and remote locations is founded in the acknowledgment that these areas often encounter challenges in accessing basic amenities. Everyone deserves a good night’s sleep. It is fundamental to overall well-being and health.
Quality sleep rejuvenates the body, enhances cognitive function, and promotes emotional stability, enabling individuals to face the challenges of each day with resilience and vitality. The cost to the society if members of its community are not getting good sleep are significant and wide ranging.
Healthcare costs of sleep-related health issues, reduced productivity, accidents and injuries and poor education outcomes are just the start of problems caused by people not having enough sleep each night.
We are partnering with likeminded freight partners to get the mattress to those underserved communities. Collaborating with these freight partners we extend our reach to make mattresses accessible to everyone, even the farthest corners of remote Australia bringing comfort to those who need it the most.
